Here is a list of the most frequently asked questions by new parents.
When can I visit the school?
Pilgrim offers several open houses during the school day throughout the year. Please contact the office at (773) 477-4824 to get the date of the next open house.
Can I bring my child/children to the open house?
Yes. We only ask that you inform the office so we can provide childcare during the time of your visit.
How do I apply to Pilgrim School?
During the open houses you will receive an application. All you need to do is complete the free application and submit it to the office. You can also print the application off of our website here.
When will I find out if my child gets in?
Pilgrim's application process is a rolling admission. If there is a space you will be notified immediately. If there is not a space you will be placed on a waiting list and notified as soon as a space opens up.
I am not a member of the Church can I still apply?
Yes. While all families are welcome to join Pilgrim Lutheran Church you do not need to be a member to attend the school.
Where is the school located?
Pilgrim is located in the Ravenswood community at 4300 N. Winchester, near the corners of Damen and Montrose. To get more location information, refer to the Contact Us page.
How do Pilgrim's test scores compare to other schools?
Test scores of students attending Pilgrim Lutheran school are consistently well above national norms. National norms are 8.5 compared to Pilgrims 10 year average of 11.43. For more information, please refer to the Test Scores section on our website.
